ID this former snake?

My next door neighbor snapped these pics of a snake he found by his gate. He sent them to me asking what kind it was, and I'm glad I was home when I got the email because not only does it look like a corn snake, it looks like MY corn snake!

Curious about this, is it indeed a corn snake and is it odd to find one like it? Location is on the Virginia side of the Potomac River which separates Virginia and Maryland.

Looks like a hawk or other critter got to it. First two pics are the one he found, last one is my Kisatchie, 'Butchie.'

I believe it is an eastern milk snake.

First one your friend found is an eastern milk.
Note the different head pattern from your Kisatchee corn.

Agreed. The milk snake also has smoother scales, which you can sort of see in the pics, but it's not obvious.
