Well...lets see. first off the Albino is doing just fantastic and here I was worried about her. She seems quit happy in her new home and has even stopped biting me and in fact won't eat mealies unless I feed her from my hands. she even comes to the side of the tank when she is hungry.
I took my older normal female and put her in another room. She has still not pooped (9 days now) but also stopped eating about 4 days ago. I still do not see a place of impactation and wouldn't know what she possibly would have gotten impacted on.
She seems fine and actually looks like she is getting ready to shed and that may be what caused the lack of interest in food. I am just leaving her alone and checking on her in the evening but not handling her. I am keeping a dish of mealies and water in there for her and am just waiting this out.
My male - whome I have had for over a year is doing just peachy but has decided he doesn't want mealies anymore. I made the mistake of giving him waxworms about 5 nights ago...(he had been on a fast and I was trying to bring his weight back up). Well, I am not giving in. He can sit on the mealie dish till he get hungry enough. I am not feeding anymore waxies to him. The brat. Boy I tell ya. He does get a bit of a tude. I put in a couple crickets ever so often and he eats those when they come to him. Did I mention he is lazy as well? LOL
Anyhow...just wanted to update you all. I was so excited to get new Leo's. I can't wait to be able to breed. That is if I can get my female behaving normal. I think she just got very stressed. I hope she will be ok. I would hate to loose an animal I know is healthy. The couple of vets I talked to said they really don't know much about herps but they can do fecals...hmmmm...can't seem to get one of those. Doh.
Sorry this was so long.
Thanks for letting me ramble.
