they are usually 20 months old.....

some that are 10 months ?MAY go, I didn;t ever have much luck with small corns......I actually thought about this 2 days ago...I was going to try some 10 month olds...but they were waaaay to small.....so I just bred what I had....even if the morphs don't match what I wanted......

...if it breeds, it's big enough.....try it

Here's the deal. I have an adult female who I know is way big enough. I have a friend who wants to breed her male who's a late 08 but measures in at around 22-24 inches. Is there any danger in putting them together? Or would I be just wasting my time with this?

my opinion?

won't hurt nothing...

but I think it would be a waste of time....

Age and size matters in my experience. The line that I am working with is not large and robust like the true okeetees I have had. My adult males only get about 36 inches long. In my experience they are ready to breed once they are 18-20 months old and in the 26 inch range. I'm using a younger male this year and he seems to be producing sperm. I'll know in a few weeks when the first clutch drops.
