Why do they continue

to kick and push sand for hours and even days after laying??? FD is still shoving and kicking, even on the basking spot! LOL! Is it obsessive compulsive behavior or some kind of diversionary tactic to throw predators off track??

All of my collared family goes crazy with digging and scratching sometimes. I've wondered if this is normal, and I've assumed that it is. They are in a very large enclosure with play sand and lots of rocks. They run and jump a lot sometimes. I think they just like to dig!
