Vanilla Ball Python Question

rottenweiler9 May 30, 2009 06:12 PM

Is a super the same thing as a butter. What does an adult Vanilla look like, does it look like a fire? I was at a show today and just did not see a real difference with a baby.

Thank you

A vanilla is subtle morph. The super does not look anything like a butter in my opinion. I work with them as a cleaning gene for my combos they really help keep the colors of pastels etc..

The adult vanilla looks like a light gold almost pastel like but not as rich of color.

Agreed. I have both and the Super just looks like a really REALLY clean but more intense normal. I bet a Super Vanilla and a Pastel or Super Pastel would make a great looking snake. I havent gone there yet but I may try it. Actually I need to pick up a female Vanilla Ghost to go with my 900 gram Vanilla male Ghost I have. I bet that could make some super projects down the road mixed with all the different Ghost stuff. At the risk of getting a lecture or starting some kind of an arguement...lol. The Butter is VERY similar to a Lesser..

Hey you gotta go to the Balls Classifieds right now and just put Vanilla in the search window. You will be able to see Vanillas and also GCR has a Super Vanilla male on there so you can see what they look like. Take a look at the Super Vanilla and then look at a Lesser and a Butter. You will see that the Super Vanilla is just a super clean version of the normal Vanilla and they look nothing like the Butter or Lesser but the Butter and Lesser look very much alike. Hope that will help you. Jay
