New dragon HELP PLEASE

BCRherps May 31, 2009 01:03 PM

Alright, so I got this new male beardie for $80 dollars and I am very curious as to what the heck he is?

I was thinking some sort of Translucent for a bit but then I found out that they are not the only ones with clear nails...anyway

He has white stripes across his back and blue scales ALL OVER his back any idea as to what he is?

Clear nails would make him Hypomelanistic which is a reduction in dark pigment. I have a Hypomelanistic Tangerine Pastel that looks very similar.

The nails don't look clear to me at all...but the coloration reminds me of dragons sold in the past called 'salmon' or 'salmon pink'.

Probably the best way to find out what morph your dragon is, is to talk to who you bought it from. There are so many mixed lines now its hard to tell exactly what has gone into the genetics. Some sandfire reds, or bloods, or even Chris Allen reds can look like your dragon. Even pastel reds or oranges. Only thing thats sure is it is hypomelanistic.

The problem with asking the person is that they thought he was a normal with an Orange beard...so they wont be much help

So can I just call him an Orange Hypo? I would like to be able to call him something other than an "Orange and Blue dragon"

and about the nails, I think it's the picture because they look MUCH whiter and clearer in real life truly everything on him looks better in real life

Ask the guy you got him from where he got him from. Your looking to talk to the breader since you got third partied in this case. That is who will be able to help.

The nails are light but I would not call them clear. I would say salmon as well.
