1st baby hatched!

missygoddess Jun 01, 2009 01:32 AM

i was extremely worried about one of the eggs and how it looked. it was already pipped, so i just helped it a little more. the baby looked a little dry to me in the egg and it was a ittle brownish coloring inside the egg shell. i am not sure if that is normal or not. but anyways, the baby came completely out of the shell and was crusing around in the incubator today, so i put him another tank. he looks good, but a little small. i dont have a scale yetvto wiegh him. i will put pics up tommorow

thank you so much! is the brownish yucky color normal inside the egg?

Normally the liquid is pretty clear inside the egg. I've never seen the brownish color before...maybe someone whose hatched more would have more insight though.

Nothing to worry about.
Did you cut?
I've had the brownish liquid more often on eggs I cut versus letting them pip on their own.

i cut after the outside was really drying up and looking really bad! i was worried about it. it looked that way when i opened it up
