tristis enclosure

JoeKahn Jun 01, 2009 09:22 PM

I am setting up an enclosure for a pair? of v.tristis.I was told that unlike my ackies, they do not need deep dirt, being they are not burrowers. If I use only a couple of inches of dirt, would a box full of dirt in the warmest area of the enclosure with a log in it, be the best way to set up a egg laying area?

Thats not true. Mine have 12" of dirt and dig quite a bit. Nothing like ackies but they do dig.
