Snake Feces

timmah Jun 02, 2009 09:21 PM

I got this new baby eastern milk snake and i was looking online at parasites and stuff and it said a healthy feces should be solid and then have some white matter from mice bones. I have fed this snake 2 pinkies now and his first feces was yellow liquid, quite a bit, there was 3 brown clumps and it had some white matter as well. Is the yellow stuff normal? or do you think i have a problem. This snake is wild caught.

any information would help thanks.

Well, you kind of answered your own question.. But, pinkies do not have well formed bones.. or enough to effect the defication anyway. All is well, feed on and as long as your snake is feeding and seems healthy, then all is well.

Well my main question is the massive amount of yellow juice in it. I was reading that there should not be alot of liquid matter. Just the feces and white bone matter.

Mabey i just worry too much. :P

But yes he eats like crazy, im hoping he grows to 50" or so pretty quick.
