Hi Folks:
I'm a long time lurker of this forum, and have appreciated all the info that folks have posted over the years. I have 1.1 BDs, the male being an 11 years old normal, and the female a 6 year old Red/Gold. As you can see from the picture below, my male, Bill, is still a tough old coot...whenever someone walks by his cage, he immediately starts head-bobbing to let everyone know that this is his territory. I got him from the "reject bin" at 4 weeks old, since he had lost half his tail. Hard to believe that back in 1992 I paid $75 for a normal baby missing half his tail!
My question is, what are the longevities that you have found for your BDs? I have checked Slavins, and a couple of vets, and some other folks around, but nobody else has a dragon this old. Bill's original mate died at age 7. By the way, he is still breeding (or at least trying!), although I did not get any eggs this year for the first time!
