Hello everyone,

I am currently in the process of finishing my melamine cage, but just wanted your guys opinion on which sealant to use on the interior to be safe for the bearded dragons. Any suggestions will help. Thank you.

I use 100% silicone on the inside corners of my melamine cages. You can buy it in a squeeze tube or a caulk tube. The one marked for kitchen/bath works best. Just let it dry well.

aquarium safe silicon sealer works too...though I suspect its no different than the kind you can get a hardware store.

I was told and used the aquarium sealant. It gives of the vinegar smell for about10 hours but once it cures its not supposed to change colors, shrink or crack, or give off any smells when heat is applied from the lights.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. The reason I ask is that the melamine cages that I see at the local pet store here uses the white cauking sealant and just wanted to see what else would be used on the melamines.
