Finally, he shed...

boaphile Jun 03, 2009 12:14 PM

This is one of my favorite Boas:

This guy was born in Key West Florida several years ago:

He IS a breeder too! At least he has been impersonating one for me since I was fortunate to get him several months back after my diligent Bulldog like never say die obnoxious arm twisting.

He courted one female for two months before I gave up on her and moved him to another more promising looking female.

Here is a shot I took of that female that has been ovulating for three weeks now:

She had been bred for weeks by one of my Pastel Motleys prior to this fellows introduction. So it is possible that we will get a cornucopia of critters born. I am hoping/assuming this guys pattern will be genetic but only time will tell for sure. Any result will be good as far as I am concerned.

He is one of my favorite Colombians regardless if that pattern is genetic or not. What do you think of him?

The connected pattern seems very consistent and strong... too strong to be a non-mutant CBLT.

I'm not sure which male I want to root for though. With the pastel motley you'll get more of those killer mots you produce... with the other you could just get normals but on the other hand you could get half a litter of an incredible new Colombian morph!

Fingers crossed that he proves out for you!

I could be really fortunate Ryan and get some of both. That is what I am hoping for. The Pastel Motleys will be F2 Pastel Motleys so I am hoping that they will blow away the others that we had three years ago. Thanks Ryan!

Just want to say i've seen that hourglass shape on laddertails, motleys and arabs. I really like the pattern. I also Like the connecting saddles.I have a feeling he'll also produce some red babies because he looks like he has alot of color as an undertone. I hope it turns out to be genetic. I'm also rooting on this boy over the motley.

What a terrific CBLT! Great pattern and nice color for an adult too. Hope you get some killer offspring from him!

>after my diligent Bulldog like never say die obnoxious arm twisting.

So that's the secret... :D

I am laughing at how stupid something like this can make you feel! I told my brother about it and he started laughing hysterically at me!

Well, at least I still have the ability to make myself laugh!

Hope nobody notices!!! ya right!

That first thread was like watching a soap opera. It was a lot of fun. I'm glad to see that guy again. I can't wait to see the offspring. When is she due?
