Boas color change over the years.

McCarthyBoas Jun 03, 2009 05:44 PM

Here are some pictures to show how much a baby boa's color changes as it get older. Here is one of my Colombian baby boas named Peanut for the peanut shape in his saddle markings. He was one of the smallest boa out of all the babies and would not eat for 13 weeks. I had to force feed him about 4 times then he finally eat a pinky mouse. After he was eating fine I switched him over to rats. He now eat just fine for me on his own. I think he is turning out pretty good looking and I am glad I kept him. Anyway here are the pictures of him and the dates they where taken.

Here he is the day he was born. 5 / 20 / 2006

8 / 25 / 2006

10 / 15 / 2006

10/ 17 /2006

1 / 22 / 2007

11 / 10 / 2007

1 / 3 / 2008

4 / 4 / 2009

5 / 3 / 2009

Take care

Nice series of pics, shows the color change very well. I always love to guess what they will turn out like once they grow out of the baby grays. Peanut is a great looking snake, he's got that lateral striping that I like so much!
Thanks for sharing,
