Well I'll be damned....I can only hope those are not its own eggs, although they seem a bit small for Eastern eggs.

Cool. Kings can be found eating turtle eggs in many places. They love 'em!

WTF????????
Is she eating one of her own eggs?
I had a corn snake that ate an infertile egg once. The rest of the clutch was fine and she didn't bother with it. I think it's pretty common. You hear about live-bearing snakes eating the unfertilized ova they pass along with the clutch all the time. Easy, quick nutrition and nothing wasted.
no rotting egg(s) to attract a predators attention to the nest.

Thanks,

those didnt appear to be colubrid eggs ? though it took a LONG time to View those (Fancy Cam) pics {ps turn down the volume of unnecessary mega pixels}...I may possibly be wrong but you and i both doubt that.As my Windows 98 is still working LOL....
Doug,
Let me guess...
An infertile corn snake egg?
I once had a cal king eat her own clutch of eggs. I know this because I saw her coiled around the eggs before she ate them. I didn't remove them because she was still laying them & I didn't want to disturb her. The eggs "looked" good. Ever since then I've removed eggs from kings as soon as they are laid.
