Showing off my first hatchlings of 2009!

nodaksnakelover Jun 04, 2009 09:40 AM

After a LONG night of work where it seemed not a whole lot was going right, for anyone! I came home to these! No signs of hatching just before I left for work, and came home at just after four in the morning to action! Whoo hoo! I love this time of year, it's like Christmas! These are Northern Pines and a feisty Kankakee bull.

Sweet! Northern Pine babies are awesome. I like those almost as much as baby subocs. Those are beauties.

Thanks for sharing! Very nice looking babies.

What temps do you incubate at?

nodaksnakelover Jun 05, 2009 03:02 AM

I shoot for 80 degrees. But due to the way this incubator is, and stacking egg boxes, the ones at the top reach 83, and I reserve those spots for my cornsnake eggs.

Hello John,
This is a note to let you know that the Kankakee Bulls have eaten their first meals. I seperated everyone and sexed them. But I feel none of the males I felt were exceptionally dark. So I'm not sure anything I have would interest you. I can take pictures of the darkest ones and send those to you. Let me know if your still interested in getting one from this clutch. Thanks! And yes I can certainly feed them several more times before I ship them out. I'm just getting my ducks in a row for this bunch so I can move them out. I want to wholesale the rest of them. I hate the hassle of shipping one or two out at a time... I'm just not a business person! I just love the animal side of this hobby! Just let me know if you need pics and I'll get them taken and out to you.
