Advice

RainbowBright Jun 04, 2009 02:46 PM

My boa just shed and while getting it started she managed to get some crushed coconut fibers in her lips, should i attempt to get it out or will she rub them away? I almost want to use a different bedding with her because the fibers always show up really well on her seeing as how she is an albino. Anyhow if i should get it out, what do you recommend i use? or do?

Only going from your description.....

If it's just a little, I'd not be concerned, if larger pieces, I'd gently restrain her and pluck them out with my fingers.

All my collection is on indented craft paper with a couple of sheets of newspaper underneath for added absorbancy. Looks good, gives them some traction and very easy for cleanup. The peices are sized to go up the sides an inch(ish) so poop or urates left on the sides of the cage.

can kinda seee it in this pic.....

Thank you Dave, it is indeed only a few little grains I just didn't know if I should worry about an infection or anything if it didn't come out soon enough. She is my new coral albino so I don't want to risk anything. I also like the idea of your substrate, can't go wrong with that.

Thanks again,
Megan
