Fresh From the Vet

Shinies Jun 05, 2009 01:38 AM

Soooo I took Slytherin to the vet and found out that HE is really a SHE. It will take a while to correct 7 years of calling her a "he".

Basically a clean bill of health, just have to watch the shedding. She shed right before our visit and the brown spots are gone, just a bunch of semi-damaged looking scales (rough edges). I fixed up the tank, here's a pic. I changed to aspen bedding and plan to keep the tank drier and hotter with feedings more often.

Thanks for all the advice from everyone who helped. I think she will be a lot happier (especially now that she gets called by the proper sex). =)

Nice job on the substrate, it doesn't look bad at all! glad to see "she" got a clean bill of health!
