For starters, if you're using a mouse pinky, it's probably not going to get a feeding response. I've never had a baby ball eat a mouse pinky. Maybe others have, but I always start babies on small adult mice or large hoppers.
We're going to need information on your set up and the snake. How big is the snake? What size is the aquarium? What are you using to heat the aquarium? What are the temps at the hot end and cool end of the cage? What substrate are you using? How many hideboxes are you using, and what type of hide boxes are they? These are all things that can play a factor in a ball python eating.
Casey:
Try adding a hide box to its cage. A week after you put the hide box in the snake's cage try putting a pinky rat in the box. The snake will probably go for it.
If that does't work give me a call at (408)981-6694 for more trix.
I hope all is well and I hope to see you at the Sac show in September.
Brian
