question about spots

At what age do baby leos start getting their spots? I just got my first leo yesterday at the carolina reptile show from xtreme exotics, a baby high yellow. It still has the horizontal yellow and black bands. Its already eaten two small crickets I believe but not any mealworms yet. I think its about 4 inches long including the tail.
