I Want A Blood!!!

tevie84 Jun 06, 2009 09:09 PM

I am fascinated with bloods but want to do more research before I invest in one. I do not have any interest in breeding bloods but I want to keep my options open for the future. I want to get a male simply do to the size factor. How big do females get and how big do the males get? I currently just have balls and a male boa, so my reptiles are fairly small. I want a snake with a challenge but not as challenging as a retic or anaconda. If anyone has any advice as far as size goes, I will like to hear some. Thanks!

Male Python brongersmai (reds) get smaller, but can still get up to 6ft. Male P. breitensteini (Borneo STP's) are next at around 5.5ft and then male P. curtus (black STP's) around 4.5ft or so. These are averages and size does vary.
