Big in Texas...

brhaco Jun 06, 2009 10:12 PM

Despite the full moon, we were a bit restless tonight, and so decided on a short road cruise. Turned out to be the best night in a while. Saw a big male emoryi, a diamondback water snake, and this 5.5 ft. Texas rat. Not too bad an attitude for a lindheimeri, meaning I came through the photo shoot without any bleeding....

Hey, Brad,
Is that TX Rat from your neck of the woods, or further south?
Very good....

Bill-

It was on a ranch road about 10 minutes from our place here in Kendall county. I saw a blacktail on this road last year, but did not have my camera to document it, so I go back often (they are all but unheard of in this area).
