Some new pics of feeding today. DUW

symetryexotics Jun 07, 2009 04:38 PM

Hey guys, just thought I would share a few photo's that I took
today while feeding a few of the Boas. I thought the Import and
the Calico were ready for small(er) rats, but I think it should
be 'weaned' still. I was doing Large mice every week, but there
over the last few weeks a stronger feeding response has been
going on, I thought I would upsize. I think there were too big
and hope to hear some feedback from it. They ate them just fine
but I think it should be a weaned, not a small. OVERFEEDING IS
BAD, but was this feeding bad? Thanks for all the comments and
let me know what you think about patterns/color and such!

Nice looking batch of Boas Kenny .Hard for me to say not being
right there but I think the feeder size looks OK to me.

Thanks for the compliments! I was hoping for that comment, I
justdid not know. I always use rodents a little smaller, maybe
I am so darn paronoid about the whole muscle mass being there and
not obese animals. Dont know... So many people OVERSTUFF their
animal. I wish I had that kind of money, I would buy a few more
snakes a year lol! Have a great night Lar!!

I am interested in getting a CA female. How big do females get?

symetryexotics Jun 07, 2009 08:17 PM

They vary. Mine range from 26 1/2" to 5'

I also feel it is a little hard to tell from the photos.

That aberrant import is a cool animal---Kraig
