A Dark One

This is a c.h. female I really like. She is freshly shed in this picture. Even her belly is sooty looking.

Wow. She is a beauty. I love the darker normals and morphs. Do you think she is a Sable or other melanistic type morph?

I don't know if she is a genetic morph or not. I look forward to breeding her to see though! The question is what should I breed her to?

Would you have the best (most accurate?) luck trying to prove her out Normal X Normal? Or can you get good results trying a simple codom morph like Pastel or Mojave?

I'm thinking of using an albino male. That way I can use a normal looking het son to breed back to her to see if there is anything genetic going on.

At the very least, hopefully, I would make some dark het albino females that would create some killer high-contrasts.

I would breed her to an albino, you would make such killer high contrast babies eventually!

She's really looking good Bill. Hmmm...I wonder what kind of feeding reaction she has?

Her feeding response would be classified as "anaconda"...If I can borrow your term.

I don't have very many picky feeders here.

BTW, this picture is a joke, I removed the snake right after the picture.

That is a question with a history/back-story behind it for sure!!! lol Yellow Belly or even better -- a 2 or 3 gene animal as to provide as many combo opportunities as possible when breeding that very pretty girl.

she is a nice one...i agree with albino, but maybe a ghost or better yet an axanthic. That way all the F1 are normal phenotype or potential it may be codom, and will be visible. then raise or give all the babies to me so i can breed them!!!
