here is the crew. First is an 08 model (43g) from M Rogers with a very bright red pattern for a female. very cool split saddles and under belly. Next two a male (85 g) and female (41 g) granite line from D Shores - they share the same sire - very interesting patterns. 07 models. I really really like this species/subspecies. very mellow.

Great looking Mex Mex....
One of my favorite snakes of all time.....2nd to Thayeri only....
Their variability is just as unique....
And there are some cool 'morphs' or 'phases' out there other than Granite/Speckled.....
I really like the Black Phase and the Hypo-Erythristics....A combination of both would be awesome....IMHO.
Here's the only pair I have right now....Not for long though...LOL

Here's a few I used to have....

Had to look again....
That first one from Michelle is KILLER....I like the thick black borders....It has got to be one of the best looking females I've seen....

The granite line pair are no slouches either.

They look great, I should have held that female back...lol..
John the mother to that female is the one I got from you that Mark K. produced.
The father was a lemke male from Laura at the reptile ranch.
I am awaiting her to lay again at the moment.
Thanks for sharing the photos.

I wondered if she was from that CrimsonKing Girl.
She threw a good one for sure....Maybe she will repeat this season for you.
Keep me posted Michelle.

BTW...Is that Lemke male from Laura on the dark side?

Yep...I think we could trace all / most of the black phase Mex Mex back to Lloyd Lemke....Even Kim Caldwell's were from Lemke...They later ended up at Ric Blair's...I think Ryan Hoyer has most of Ric's but I am not sure...
One of my old dark males was from Reptile Ranch (Lemke line)....

And...They've always been popular to me....LOL

Ive got an older dark Lemke female and a yearling Lemke female. Both very dark and my favorites of all the Mex Mex. I guess they could be considered "black phase." I'll post pics soon,
Thanks

I would love to see them....
When they are young it is hard to tell if they are dark phase unless you just know.
They darken with age....

Here are some old pics of some I used to own...
The top one is my Reptile Ranch Lemke Female....
The middle pic is another female I got from Mark Kenderdine...
The last pic is a Variation pic...Seems to be more Variations now then back then.....

I haven't posted on here in quite a while, but saw this mex mex post, and thought I would share a couple pics. Those are some awesome looking pics to start the post, and some great pics from you too John. I love the variation pic. These are both 08s, and from Michelle Rogers. The first pic is the female.

That female has some nice split saddles...I like her, but the male is pretty much perfect...

Why do the male Mex Mex always look nicer?

I have seen that Ruthveni males look nicer than the females as well...

Here are some more I don't have anymore...Dammit!

Thanks John. Same thing goes with Thayeri for the most part. The males seem to be more vibrant. Not sure why. I would love to hook my male up with that female in the first post. They would have some blinding red offspring. Also, more killer pics. I know you would love to have those back.
