Hooray... he ate!

He finally accepted food today, ate half a dozen wax worms, not many or with gusto but he ate them which is good becuase he has lost about 1/6 th his weight. Generally he seems to hack a little less. His activity is definitely up and his eyes don't crust over and have lost that watery look to them.

I hope he continues to improve.

i do have a suggestion, though. The wax worms have little to no nutritional value. If he likes them, I bet he would go for phoenix worms, which have much more protein and calcium, and will help put weight back on him. You can't find them at local pet stores usually, but you can buy them online here

He has never been to keen on them and I thought he could use the fat for the time being. I will vary the diet as he improves!
