Has anyone used Nature's Spirit incubators? Thinking about getting one, any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
I purchased one last year, no issues. Hatched out my first clutch ever 100% hatch rate & have more clutches incubating this year.

Hi,
I was going to buy one this year and decided to make my own. I purchased about 5 snakes from different breeders last year and they all used them. John from nextworld exotics uses them and told me about them. One breeder had 6 of them and that is all he used. I asked why he needed six and he told me that he only kept a few clutches in each in fear that if one failed he did not want to have all his eggs in one incubator. I am going to try my home built and if it fails I will be buying a natures spirit for sure. It is the best you will find for the money and quality. I have never heard a bad thing about one ever. I would definitely buy a herpstat spyder robotics thermostat for it. They make it a perfect set up and natures spirit sells them too.
Good luck,
Bill
I have one and it is a really nice incubator. My one criticism is that they need either more or more powerful fans to better circulate air. If you ask Casey to add a fan or put in a bigger fan he will do that for you and it will rock! He is a good guy to deal with and his incubator is very well built. I also agree on the spyder robotics thermastat. I think they are better than helix, ranco or anything else in it's price range.
I had one and loved it. It kept perfect temps with a Helix and prefect humidity. I used it for Leopard Gecko and Colubrid eggs and now my friend it using it for ball pythons. I know he is hatching out good eggs with it as well. You will not be sorry. It was worth the money and in my opinion, it is a very good product. Good luck. Mike Panichi

honesty is my only policy
Casey makes very good incubators. They are very reasonably priced and they work very well. highly recomend them. You will have no problems from Casey he is a great guy to work with. My first incubator was from Casey and I have never had a problem with it.
I have one with a helix thermostat and it works great. As it is set up upon purchase, it will hold a pretty fair number of shoebox sized egg boxes. I recently switched to larger egg boxes so I had to remove the wire shelves to accomodate them, but it is still working and holding temps just fine. One word of advice is be careful if you're moving the incubator around. I managed to put a substantial crack in the bottom of mine by sliding it across a hardwood floor to clean behind it. Looks like it shouldn't be at all difficult to fix once hatching season is over. (It's still holding temps with that crack in it, too)
and absolutely love it!

Thanks guys! Looks like I'll be buying one of these from Casey. Just had one more ? though. On his site, he say's that they use and recommend the Helix DBS1000 AND the Herpstat by Spyder Robotics. Is it necessary to have both?
No, one or the other. I went with the Helix, but you can't go wrong with either one.

I think what that means is that they have found those two brands to be very reliable, which is why they sell them. You only need one thermostat per incubator.
Hi again,
The people at spyder robotics are incredible. I had a small problem with one and they sent me a new one before I even sent the old one back and then once I sent the old one back they mailed me a check for 10 dollars for shipping and it only cost me 8 dollars to ship it back. The biggest thing I like about the spyder robotics is that the temp reads in tenths. IE: 98.0, 98.3, 98.7. I heard helix is trying to make theirs the same way but from what I know helix will read like IE: 98, 99, 97, no tenths like the spyder. It holds like within .3 degrees of what you set. They are really nice. Their customer service is beyond exceptional. I am sure when you buy a spyder you will have it for life.
Good Luck,
Bill R.
These look very nice. I was curious how many and what size tubs would fit inside?

Glad someone asked questions about these. PLEASE don't take this as a strike against Casey. I have spoken to him about the issue I am having, as well as others, and have no problem with Casey or his product.
I , however, am having trouble getting temp stabilization. I have tried different things that others and Casey have recommended and have gotten better but still too much of a difference for my comfort. Can any of you detail HOW you have your probe placement, bins, therm setting etc.........so I can see how ya'll have yours set and the temp differenc from top to bottom. Much appreciated to all of you.
Again, just getting info on how everyone has their's set and working good for them is all, NOT pounding Casey.
thanks
Richard
