Random Thayeri

KenCasstevens Jun 10, 2009 02:01 AM

Here are a couple updated pics of some of my Thayeri. First is a really light, thin banded male from Michelle Rogers Applegate stock. He keeps getting lighter with age. The second pic is a bright red msp female whose parents were both Lee Abbott stock. The olive green, reduced saddled female is her sibling. All three should be ready to breed next season.

Thanks Todd. I'm hoping he continues to lighten up. I can't wait to see what he throws once he gets a chance at the girls.

Thanks for posting that pic. Mine didn't get a good shot of his cool head pattern. He's definately one of my favorites.

Nice...
I like the spotted olive green one in the last photo...
Reminds me of a few I used to have years back...
Good luck with them next season. Did you pair up anything this season Ken?

Thanks. I remember those awesome spotted ones you used to have. I was soo jealous. I have five pairings this year. Three of those are first time females so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
1- Vivid F2s- orange female, and olive green male (11 eggs in the incubator)
2- Green razor thin banded Dan V male (pic below), and green Mitch Allen female (should lay any day)
3- Green razor thin banded Dan V male, and Lee Abbott msp female (should lay any day- hooked these two up last year, and she threw a huge clutch of 15- all hatched leonis-kinda wierd)
4- Thin banded, reduced black, light tan Michelle Rogers male, and dark buckskin Mike Bodner female with bowties all the way down her body ( should lay any day- pic posted a couple lines above)
5- Light gray, thin banded Dan V male (came from white line), and huge Michelle Rogers msp female (in pre egg laying shed)
Hopefully all the first timers will do fine, but we'll have to wait, and see.

Great pairings Ken...Good luck with all the eggs and getting them all feeding...That can be hard but rewarding....

Are you working with anything else besides Thayeri?

I will as soon as she sheds.

KenCasstevens Jun 10, 2009 04:15 PM

Low, and behold I was just talking about her, and went to check on her, and she had shed. She is by far the biggest female I have, and I expect a large clutch from her. It is her first time though, so we'll see.

Ken,

All those sound like really nice pairings. Good luck with them. I have 3 clutches on the ground myself and a 4th female in pre-lay shed right now. We may have to do some swapping.
