iguana weight

my friends green iguana is about 4-5 feet snout to vent and he sais it weighs 25 lbs, is this ok?

It is unusual to see such a heavy one, but if he is feeding it properly it is ok...If he is feeding it dog food and other animal protein, he is definitely shortening its life...Ask him if he is feeding a vegetarian diet and using the proper UVb lighting...good luck and tell him about this site...Lyn

4 feet snout to vent?? That sounds like an alligator!! LOL.
I think you mean snout to tail. 25 pounds sounds excessive for that lenght. My Iggi is 51 inches snout to tail, and she is about 6 pounds. She is female though, and probably will never see 15 pounds.
