Couple Of Small Clutches

guyergenetics Jun 11, 2009 08:54 AM

I had two little half sized clutches layed yesterday by a couple of my smaller breeder females.

This Anery gave me 11 eggs. She's supposedly a multi het. I bred her to a Ghost het Amel so we'll see.

Then one of my Outcrossed Bloodreds layed 10 eggs. I bred her to a male Outcross. I am expecting 1/4 of these to be Bloodreds. On another note, this is the first time I have gotten eggs from a pair where I hatched out both the sire and the dam. So this is the first clutch that will truly be my stock.

Total egg count: 112

those are respectable numbers. Next year those girls should do better.

Good luck with the hets

It's pretty cool to get that first one from your own "stock".
I kept the first snake I ever hatched and I also kept my first true "Draybar" stock...lol
The top one (Pistol Pete) is the first snake hatched here and the second one (Zipper) is my first one hatched from parents produced here. They both turned out pretty nice even if I do say so myself...LOL

I'm kind of interested in that too..lol. I'm hoping that they turn out looking good. I have bred the original Blood female to a different male of a different morph every year since '06 starting on two generation projects. The father of the ones I bred this season was a Normal, not het for anything as far as I can tell but I am testing that this year by breeding him to a quad het. Hopefully these turn out nice and there might be some surprises if it turns out that Grandad has a bit of something to him.

Holy crap those are awesome Jimmy!!!

Hey Jimmy, on another note, one of the females from my Lavender Mot project just layed a very nice looking clutch. I'll get photos after I get out of bed this evening...I work midnights....and I'll have the post up tommorow. One more definitly gravid female from that project left. She should lay soon. Right now it looks like a very good chance that I won't be letting you down.
