Rare Turtle.

Went out last weekend with a couple buddies. We were looking for Night snakes and Zonata of witch we found none. We did turn up some cool stuff though.

Northwestern Ringneck snake (Diadophis punctatus occidentalis)

We went and check out a spot that was supposed to be good for Contia, we did turn up a couple Northern Alligator Lizards. Southerns seam to be the norm in my area and finding Northerns is cool.

We were in the neck of the woods of one of two remaining natural populations of the Washington Endangered Western Pond Turtle

That's it for now,
Nate

Great shots Nate, I remember living in southern Oregon and seeing marmorata quite often around Rogue River. Are you in the White Salmon area? I'm sure that was one of the WA localities for zonata I heard about back in the day.
Peace, Love, and Herps,
Mike C

Oregon still has some OK populations of marmorata Washington is a different story. You are correct we were in Skamania and Klickatat counties.
