I've been getting a lot of emails asking me for updated pics of the lightning pied. Well here you go. Let me know what you think?

So that's a double homozygous recessive pied x axanthic right? one in 16 chance from two double hets? Nice. Amazing looking animal. Stunning.

Beautiful, barely any brown coming in on it. How big?

Jolliff Jun 14, 2009 10:42 AM

gourgeous snake. Can't wait to see that bred into the hypo & all the purple albino snakes. A Super Pastel Caramel Axanthic Hypo Clown Pied would be sick. Markus might accidentally produce one of those next season too!! Your pix are looking great as well. Congrats on that project, hard work can pay off unexpectedly...

yellodragon Jun 15, 2009 01:02 AM

Hi Markus.

How are you?? Do you remember me?? Ray from holland??

Cheers Ray.

evansnakes Jun 15, 2009 08:53 AM

why lightning? why not axanthic pied? there has been a thnuder and "lightning" ball morph for several years now that Tom Carlton produced, similar to gulf coasts' vanilla and super vanilla. Your name is likely to confuse some and really has nothing to do with describing the morph. Just curious. E

PiedPeddler Jun 15, 2009 09:58 AM

I couldn't get how the clean, light coloration of the lightning or vanilla would make an axanthic-looking pied. Now I understand. Thanks Evan! Nice looking snake, Markus!
