Horny little devil.Should be interesting what will hatch if she produces some eggs.I've been waiting to see someone cross breed those two to see what they get.Hope all goes good for you. Later, Ethan

Post some pics when (if) the babies hatch! They'll probably look pretty weird...

Hi,
I know I know, no one asked me for my 2 cents, but this cross breeding thing has got me thinking about some things here. First, where is the market for such animals and who is going to buy these animals. Pretty soon if this kind of mind set and practice takes a foot hold, we'll see this kind of trend take over the market, to some degree and true or pure animals will become either a thing of the past or questionable. With dealers passing off their off-spring as pure bred because they resemble phenotypically a Malaysian red, or a Borneo short-tail. I don't know I guess you can just call me old fashion or a purest.

I don't agree that such animals at least with the market being what it is today and with such tendencies by the lay person, to breed any thing they can get their hands on, not to mention the unscrupulous breeding practices of some - that the ethics of such practices should be over-looked here and should really be considered, or taken into account when allowing this to go on. I realize that this was an accident. Albeit, I know that such animals do integrade where such boundaries exist ( i.e.,Sumatra), where they are limited only by their own ability to cross such bounderies.

Such desires are driven by curiousity and the thought of creating the melanged animal or Frankentein short-tail, no doubt that there is the possibility that there will be some incredible creation, or not for that matter. So then, where do you go from there (rhetorical). Do others follow in the foot steps of one individual because they saw his creations - then what gives. I tell you what, more unpure and genetically maligned mutts with no market for them.

I have to apologize in advance if this seems like an attact on you personally, but it is not my intention to sound off on you personally. Your escapee, created a serendipitous forum and thought that I would share my thoughts on the subject.

this was not a planed breeding the male hybrid black borneo that i had in the same self made large snake rack has managed to break through the screen on one end of his cage and get down to her level and aparently she is ovulating and he is merely reacting i had not planed to ever put these two together why would when i have an awsome malered blood that will add some amazing genetics to the onesthat my female alreasy has. though i didnt plan this breeding i will not stop it because he obviously wha man enough at 2 years old to win over the acceptance of my nearly 6' female so im gona see what happens toy never know they may be some of the coolest bloods besides ivorys and albinos that any one has ever seen.here is a pic of my big female ill try to add a pic of my male later on.

How do you konw if its a cross for sure. I have a male that was sold to me as a black x borneo but ive never known how to be positive that it is. He looks almost identical to your animals accept he has a slight bit less of a dark shade on his back. Ive always wondered how to check...

Hey,
I have to say that, the Red female is an amazing looker, and the male is too. I am inclined to think that the male looks very much like a Borneo, but does have some fading in its color and pattern much like an aging or maturing Sumatran short tail, would. If you ever want to sell the Red girl let me know man, I would gladly take her off your hands. hehe!! No! - seriously.
