Question about humid boxes

How do you keep the edges smooth when you cut entry holes in it? Melt them, cover them in tape, what do you do?

I use sand paper. Keep in mind that in the wild these snakes don't have perfectly smooth terrain all the time. I would suggest it not being razor sharp, but a little rugged is not going to hurt.
