Egg Transportation Advice

k_vongpha Jun 15, 2009 11:30 PM

I am about to move up to a new location that is 3hrs away from where I am currently at right now. I am just wondering if anyone would share their ideas of how to transport bearded dragon eggs that are still in the incubator for that long of a period. For sure they will be in my car, but what else do I need. Thanks.

What type of incubator are they in?

You could potentialy just leave them in the incubator, 3 hrs is not that bad.

If thats not an option then get yourself a styro cooler or regular cooler and put them in there.

If you are really worried about it you could get a digital thermometer to monitor temps too, if you dont allready have one.

I apologize for not specifying that.

The eggs are on vermiculite in a tupperware container in a hovabator. There are two digital thermometer (one on the screen at the bottom and a probed thermometer to measure the chamber)

I was just a little worried about the shaking along the way and the maintenance of temerature.

You could purchase a power inverter that plugs into the cigarette lighter and plug the hovabator in to maintain the temps. Just secure the incubator and watch for large bumps.
