not bad for a first clutch from my female spider.

the light colored bee is really nice, she's almost completely white.

sorry jbuggfl........my lesser was shooting blanks, maybe better luck next season. did you pick up your butter yet?

Pitoon

entire clutch

light colored bee

darker colored bee

both bees, big difference......makes you wonder how a killerbee would look like coming from the lighter bee

i have a couple more females that i'm waiting on them to lay. next clutch that's really got me hyped up is my reduced pattern female i bred to my pastel. i'm hoping to prove out the female is genetic or not.

if she is............i got some big plans for her and her offspring.

yeah man post pics of the butter. i want to see how buttery it is.

All of those are very nice. I like the darker colored Bee as well. But, really, how many ugly Bees are there out there?

Um...did that bee come out of the egg itself with the yolk sac?

Nice clutch -- good odds -- judging by the luggage that light one is carrying around I'd say he wasn't quite done cooking. He'll likely color up a bit between now and after his first shed -- still a very good looking clutch! Congrats!

Yes, you’re right he wasn’t quite yet ready to come out of the egg. However I decided to pull it out since the egg was starting to smell a bit sour. I’m not to sure how much the light one will color up. It’s color was white as a egg still to this morning, and they’ve been out several days now. I’ll post after shed pics once they all shed.

As for that luggage……….I know you all are thinking it’s the yolk dragging. But it’s not the yolk. The lighter bee has almost absorbed all of it’s yolk and is about to drop the umbilical. That luggage you see is some sort of sack, maybe another undeveloped embryo? I have another clutch that hatched out and out of 7 eggs, 3 of them had this luggage so to say. I have not seen this before in previous clutches. But what I do know is that both clutches came for the same father (pastel) Maybe it’s something with him?

My previous clutch that had the extra luggage those babies also absorbed all their yolk, left the egg and that sac in the egg. Those babies already had two feedings, most of them.

Someone else on here posted that they too had an egg with a sac in it. I think it was Greg Graziani, not to sure though who it was.

I’m curious to know more about this so called “extra luggage”
