What type of worms where present, what was used to treat them, and how long has it been since the vet visit?

How often are you changing the water?

You MIGHT try lowering the hotspot to 86 or so.

These snakes are notorious for really holding it in for a long time due to they're slow metabolisms. As long as your setup is correct and your feeding the proper sized meals, it'll come out when they're good and ready.

This girl just came out of a 5 month no-do-do spree for no reason other than shes a Blood.

I echo the other posters here by saying that bloods don't poop very often. Between her second and third year, my female went nearly a YEAR without pooping, all the while eating on a 10-day basis. She grew an incredible amount during that time in overall size. I think most of her food energy was spent in growing.

Since then, she's defecates on a regular basis of about once a month. I didn't change anything in her temps or humidity during the non-pooping period or now. So, I think she just didn't feel like going. Then, finally, bammo.

I keep my hot spot around 85 and humidity at around 60%. I also thaw the rats I feed her in hot water, so she's getting hydration that way as well as the water she drinks from the bowl.

Good luck--your's WILL go eventually. If you can stomach another poop photo, here's what mine is usually capable of every month...incredible.

I agree with the above replies, bloods just dont go very much, but on a second note, what's wrong ith us, LOL, we find it amazing how big of dumps our animals take and even take pictures of them, my wife once made a "snow"man out of our burm's poo

That's funny! Crap art!!! It could be a new reptile forum! Or maybe, "Scat Photography and Art."

I wonder if hard urates write like chalk does? Seems like they might, but I'm not twisted enough to try it...

Fortunately someone else is, they can but they must be excessively dry first. They can also crumble easily.... Depends, I notice my larger pythons have a more suitable poo. This was tried with a burmese chunk.

And for the record, I am still HIGHLY disturbed by the fact that I knew what species of snake that poo-man came from.

Animal people LOVE to talk poo for some reason. Dog, Cat, Reptile, Bird. We all talk poo. Reptile people just seem to actually enjoy the discussion of the dirty deeds...

Funny! It works, huh?!

Well, looks like there's a question I don't have to answer for myself anymore...

Taking a dump is just part of life! But hey, most of you are lucky. I AM NOT, I got stuck with Crohn's disease which can cause poo to become an obsession!

I've heard about that disease. It sounds awful. Sorry you have to suffer with it! Are there treatments or medications that help?

jhnscrg Jun 24, 2009 06:52 PM

Some. Fortunately, I stay mostly in remission or at least very low level activity ( Except for the arthritic complications anyway.). Technically, I'm a mild case.
