feeding tips for adf

gary1 Sep 14, 2003 03:08 PM

ive only had my adf 2 days now and ive encountered my 1st prob already lol

when im feeding the fish get most of the food before it even hits the bottom, even when it hits the bottom near the frog they usually take it before the frog even notices. today i distracted the fish with food and dropped some more right on top of the frog and he took a little before the fish found it

does anyone else have experience of keeping adf in with other fish ? any tips on feeding would be appreciated

ps so far ive only tried flake food but i do feed my fish frozen blood worm a couple of times a week and have still to try feeding him this

Try useing a turkey baster to "inject" the food infront of the frog. ADFs will not really eat flake. Frozen blood worms, or live food is best. Here are some links: Copy and paste them into your address bar.

Well, I'd have to say, don't keep adfs with fish. This will solve the problem! More feeding advice at:

One thing which might work would be to feed your frogs after lights out, unless of course you have nocturnal fish such as catfish. Best advice is still to give your frogs their own tank.
