Does any one has ever seen one in captivity? I have seen some on lists of Chinese exporters (2) with the inclusion of pictures.
Was wondering if anyone ever seen one outside China/HongKong.

I've never heard of one in captivity. Post the link to the chinese sites that list them. If they have a photo it would be fun to see.
Lately some herpetologists have speculated that perlacea is just a local form of mandarina. Either way, it's an interesting form.

Thanks Sue.
Very interesting photos. I'll leave the question of whether perlacea and mandarina are two species or one to the people who care. What I will say is that euprepiophis are extremely variable in color and pattern.
Best regards
John
@ John, I can not post the pictures because I got them mailed to me, and I am not allowed to post the pictures. I have asked.
There is no site or link.
What I do have is the article of Zhao that perlacae is a valid species. You can find it here:
Thanks for the link viperhare. Nice to hear that perlacea is reasonably common in its range. I haven't heard of anyone keeping a perlacea-like animal in the U.S. Best of luck in finding them. I'm a big fan of Euprepiophis. I'd like to see as many forms available in the hobby as possible. Are you in the U.S.?
Regards
John
@ John,
No problem, I live in Europe. It will be hard to get hold of some but most of the rarest of chinese animals are shipped to Japan. Unfortunatly I am not in the position to import myself but I am trying to convince a local importer who I have helped before to try an get some. Time will tell..
