Broken digit on baby WT

Is it better to go ahead and have it cut off so the bones dont scrape each other and cause infection? Or is there a better way to handle this? He came like this. Looks to be broken on the digit just below his back foot, on his longest claw. Nothing looks to be infected now but I'm keeping an eye on it.

I think its best to leave it be. I had a savannah with a broken front leg and it healed completely. Keep in mind though, I'm not a vet.
