is it possible to breed a sumatran to a borneo?
It's possible, but the offspring would be hybrids. They're not color phases, they're different species:
Sumatran Black - Python curtus
Sumatran/Malaysian red - Python brongersmai
Borneo Short Tail - Python breitensteini

Thanks alot! I knew they were not color morphs, but I thought the only diffrence was region. I didn't know they were diffrent species.
You're not the first. They were classified as subspecies of P. curtus for quite a long time, IIRC. P. Brongersmai (blood pythons), especially can be amazingly variable, with some animals being yellow, and almost resembling P. breitensteini (Borneo Short-tail)

Pretty new to bloods, myself, but I'm getting the impression that most folks wait 3-4 years to start breeding. Maybe 3 years for males / 4 for females?
Hope that helps . . .
