Rosy Rats

byron.d Jun 21, 2009 10:21 AM

I've always considered these to be more Ratsnake than cornsnake. In temperament, behavior and in look.

Here are a few locality animals - starting with my Boot Key snakes.

Here's my best Big Pine Key female - she'll be breeding next spring for sure!

Thanks for looking.

Wow Byron, They look great. The 2009 Boot Key locality rosies will be hatching towards the end of july. She gave me 12 eggs this year-all look great!

It's hard to find good CB locality Rosy Ratsnakes these days- especially since Gus at Rio Bravo Reptiles sold off all his coulbrids years ago to work only with boas. He used to have Big Pine Key, Marathon, No-Name Key, etc.

Don S. got the collection. He held onto some of them (I believe the ones that produced babies that ate pinkies normally- ie I believe they were the Big Pine Keys).

Every now and then you see some locality rosies from DTS herps online for sale.

I'll have to try and get some of those Big Pine Keys from you next year Byron... Congrats- they are all looking soooo good!

Yoru friend,
Graham
