Pure white-coral campbelli . . . .

JKruse Jun 21, 2009 05:25 PM

This old girl (age 13) recently laid a clutch of six eggs after several years of not doing much while in a Long Island aquarium mimicry display. I re-acquired them last year luckily, and am really glad I did as these puppies are F5 descendants of original stock collected by Dave Blody (Ft. Worth Zoo) in the mid-late 1980's. Locality was the Zapotitlan Basin near Puebla, Mx.

Out of the six eggs, three are definitely good upon candling and currently baking at 74F. Can't wait to see what these look like....here's to a new generation!

I tried a couple more shots but she was just too jumpy and I didnt want to potentially ruin a good thing.

That's bad-ass, Jerry. It's not often you hear of campbelli that can be traced back to their roots. Keep us posted on the happenings.

I'm really enjoying the rivival of locality Latin American stuff we're seeing. Not that I don't appreciate the magically colored hondos and nelsoni/sinaloae... heck, I like ALL milks.

Very cool there Mr. Kruse!! Great story behind the snakes too. So, your Zonata collection is getting a little competition huh?
