Red rat in lala land...........

Steve G Jun 21, 2009 09:23 PM

This guy was just lying out on the road with his kink on, looking to get squished. I've been lucky this past month, as I have pulled four large gravid females from similar circumstances. They go home to lay their eggs in safety. I should have at least 60-75 youngsters to release at the end of summer.

Steve,Years ago I used to collect Red Ratsnakes and they would lay eggs and hatch at my place. The babies were allways huge!Nothing like the delly cup ssp.of today. Please post them when they hatch,I bet a lot of people would be supprised at their size if they are used to captive born corns.Or maybe not,it is the "field observation forum. Vic Morgan Jax.Fl.collector of the past before they were all run over.I live in Florida swamp land now south of the big city so the snakes just show up in my tortoise enclosures.Yesterday I watched a juvy Mt.Tortoise push a banded watersnake out of a cement block hole.It was funny neather wanted to give up the spot. The Tort.wone!
