Help With Eastern Eggs.

copperhead13 Jun 22, 2009 09:17 PM

My female laid a little over 2 weeks ago.
Some of the eggs (3 of 10) started to sink in a little.
I increased the moisture, but they are still slightly sunken,
and not firm like the others.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

You might want to candle the eggs to see if they are fertile. Compare the non-sunken eggs to the sunken eggs. If the good looking eggs have veins and vascularity and the sunken ones look yellow... they might not be good anyway, regardless of what you do.

My guess is that they are no good. Doug recommendation of candling is a good one. You also might want to set them up separately and not run the risk of adding more mold spores to your good eggs. Good luck with them.
