iDEAS FOR A CARAMEL ALBINO

TegusForYou Jun 22, 2009 09:41 PM

I just got a really nice caramel albino male and was looking for ideas on breeding him to other morphs. Would like to do a co dom morph maybe a caramel albino spider? I know I'm talking a few years down the road but if you could what would you mix him with?
Thanks

Hey,

Have you ever heard of a carmel glow? That is a carmel and a ghost. I think it is one of the coolest looking balls out there. Oh, and please take your time. I am very close. You can get one from me....LOL.

Good luck,
Bill

I've long thought that a caramel mojave would be awesome. Maybe I'm wrong but I think it's in the works already so might find out soon.

TSK made it a few years back. There is a picture of it in the barkers book.

Turns out that picture is a mislabled hypo mojave. Just goes to show how surprisingly stunning the hypo mojave is. The actual caramel mojave might be made or very close by now though.

I would not do a caramel spider just because I like the purplish color on the caramels and since spiders are naturally reduced pattern the spider gene would take a lot of that away. Same goes for the caramel pin. I think a caramel Black pastel or caramel sable would look amazing because the dark black pattern should really bring out the purple.

Caramel fire. Given what the caramel glow looks like, I think the caramel fire will be pretty nice. Not sure if it will turn out better or worse than the glow, but we won't know til we see one.

I agree with above. The black pastel caramel should be really nice, and then you're also halfway to a super black pastel caramel.

If you're up for taking more of a risk, start working on the caramel ivory. It may end up not being that much different from a regular ivory, or it may end up being something spectacular. Possible that the purple on young ivories would be enhanced and possibly last into adulthood?
