I just recently got 2 of my trouble feeders to take unscented pinks, and let me tell you, once they get on track they really eat.
I was offering a ft pink today using a pair of 12" tweezers with rubber tips. Well one of my little females is an extremely aggressive feeder and strikes with quite a bit of force. Today she misses the pink and latches on to the rubber tip of the tweezers. This female proceeds to ingest about 2" of the tweezers, while I'm busy filling a small bowl with warm water. She would not let go for the life of her and it took a couple dunks in that water before she decided to spit the tweezers out. After that she hammered the pinky and had her meal.
I hear so many people saying "this guy will eat pinks right out of your fingers" and I wonder how many times the little ones miss and start eating that finger. I'll just stick to using my tweezers, lol.
