24 days post shed and viable eggs W.hog

krhodes Jun 23, 2009 10:10 AM

She is finally laying, and good eggs. At the moment it appears 3 more eggs to make a grand total of 5. She shed out on the 30th of May. She is a 2006 orange albino and this is her first clutch. Most of my Westerns hit ten days and then lay, I have had a kennerlyi lay out at 8 days. It has been a long wait but we are really really glad these eggs are fertile.

Well, Kevin, that's just another illustration of how it's difficult to state "hard and fast" rules about hognose breeding. My own nasicus generally drop about 5-7 days after shedding. Hogs are just weird!
