Where can I find Large Imported blood pythons?

REPPET Sep 14, 2003 06:01 PM

I'v bean looking for days but have only come up with, babies, or little skinny over priced sub adult bloods, or animals from unknown people with no backround info. I'm mostly looking for boreos or sarawaks.

Your turning away baby /sub adult bloods cause they're of unknown origin, yet your looking for adult wild caughts??

There's a reason why there arn't many around...
they're vicious and dont breed well.

I would consider looking for an acclimated sub-adult pair and grow them up yourself.
Saves having to deworm them, etc...

just my 2 cents.

I was at the booth for EBV and the guy told me he could find me an import pair of Timor pythons. Imports arent always that bad, and it is nice to know EXACT locale

Dont fool yourself...
Just cause they're imported, doesn't mean you will know true localities...

Theres only a few ports where they actually export from...they usually just ship everything to one or two ports, and ship them to the US. Most of these ports are in Sumatra i believe. and do you think these guys actually care about giving us proper localities..??
Unles you get collection data, you'll never know the true localitiy.

THATS OD YOU WOULD TURN AWAY A SUB ADULT BECAUSE KNOW ONE KNOWS WHERE IT COMES FROM. YOU REALLY DONT WANT ANY WAILD CAUGHT RED BLOODS. FOR YEARS I HAVE TRIED BREEDING 7 DIFFERENT WILD CAUGHT FEMALES THAT EAT AND ARE HEALTHY IN EVERYWAY. MY CB MALES BREED ALL THE FEMALES BUT NONE HAVE PRODUCED ANY EGGS FOR 2 YEARS NOW. I HAVE NEVER GOT ANY WILD CAUGHT REDS TO PRODUCE NOT TO SAY THEY CANT AND WANT I JUST KNOW I HAVENT HAD THE LUCK AND SAME WITH A FEW OTEHRS I KNOW. YOULL SAVE YOUR SLEF ALLOT OF STRESS AND MAYBE EVEN MONEY AND TIME IF YOU GET A SUB ADULT CB ONE. THINK ABOUT IT ITS A BLOOD IT REALLY DOESNT TAKE THAT LONG FOR THEM TO GET TO MATURITY. TIM MEAD BRED A FEMALE BORNEO AT 15 MONTHS OLD PRODUCING THE FIRST MARBLE BLOODS. AS FOR BORNEOS I DONT EVEN THINK THEY GET IMPORTED ANYMORE!!! DO YOUR SELF A FAV AND THE SNAKE A FAV GET THE CAPTIVES.
