flavirufa with second clutch

RandyWhittington Jun 23, 2009 06:31 PM

This het anery girl laid a second clutch today of 4 good eggs and 1 bad. She laid 6 good eggs a while back, which is not a bad sized clutch for flavs and was never even put back in with the male after laying her first. I'm really impressed since this is her first year producing.

That's the problem with this country; everybody wants seconds.

I take it you missed the part of my post where I said I never put her back in with the male and therefore the second clutch was a suprise.

She knows if she doesn't put out, she gets sent to bed without dinner. They know the rules of captivity. Do you keep any old world heavy on the red and black, and on the small side?

Is this the type of old world action your talking about?

Very nice. Are latacinctus and coxi in the same family, and is the care, maintenance about the same? These two are seriously making the new to old world crossover easier. I think cost is about equal on both?

They are both porphyraceus subspecies and their care is about the same.
