dying babies?

i have a trio of new moms and some of there babies are dying? just wondered why? does this happen to new moms? thanks!!

Can you see the white milk belly in the living babies? If the mom's have enough milk the babies should be plump and have a glaringly obvious white spot.
Babies that aren't getting enough milk can feel tacky, look thin with excess skin. Sometimes a new mom won't produce milk or care for her babies properly. Usually it's worked out by the next litter.
